61 an hour 21 hours ago 21 hours ago 21 hours ago Job DescriptionHuman Resource Associate POSITION SUMMARY The Human Resource Associate is responsible for assisting the Director of Human Resources in the successful recruitment and retention of Homemakers and Homemaker-Home Health Aides (H/HHA's), as well as other staff when deemed necessary and appropriate.
The Human Resource Associate shall also assist the Director of Human Resources in the development, implementation and maintenance of appropriate systems, policies and procedures to meet established Agency objectives and assure compliance with regulatory requirements regarding personnel and employment practices.
QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor of Arts/Science degree from an accredited institution is recommended.
Previous experience in a Human Resources is recommended.
Evidence of satisfactory health exam and Mantoux test (done within one year prior to employment).
Satisfactory references with regard to professional competency, interpersonal skills and attendance.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Works cooperatively with the Director of Human Resources to implement systems, policies and procedures to achieve Agency objectives and conduct operations in an efficient, cost-effective manner.
Participates in the recruitment, interviewing, and screening of training program candidates, Homemakers, and Homemaker-Home Health Aides based on the needs of the Agency and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Works cooperatively with the Director of Human Resources to develop and maintain a network of community groups, social service agencies, public employment agencies, and private referral sources for the purpose of personnel recruitment and community outreach.
Implements orientation programs for all new employees that meet Agency needs and comply with regulatory requirements.
Maintains the personnel file system for employees that is developed by the Director of Human Resources.
Works cooperatively with management in initiating appropriate and timely corrective/disciplinary action regarding H/HHA problems/concerns utilizing established Agency policy.
Insures the timely communication of pertinent information regarding new hires to the placement staff to ensure quick, appropriate client placements.
Collaborates with the Program Director on such issues as training program and pre-employment skills testing scheduling.
Assists the Director of Human Resources with the processing of all requests for information regarding H/HHA's in compliance with established Agency policies and procedures, including the Agency's Confidentiality Policy.
Establishes and maintains satisfactory working relationships within the Agency and with the public in general.
Attends interagency and professional meetings as requested by management.
Performs other job-related duties as required.
