Director of Community Support Services

SUMMARYDevelop, implement, manage and oversee a uniform model for delivery of coordinated and integrated community services, including but not limited to CSPECH type programs.
Provide clinical and administrative support and oversight to the managers of regional supportive housing programs, and participate proactively in Metro West, Central Mass, Lowell Shelter, and housing and support services teams.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the operational and fiscal activities of the program/department to include:
staffing levels, budgets, and financial goals.

Recruit, manage, develop and evaluate staff by providing timely mentoring, training and performance management.
Complete required paperwork in accordance with company policy.

Provide regular clinical supervision to direct care staff of the programs in weekly staff meetings and on an as needed basis.

Provide weekly individual supervision to Program Managers.

Review client chart at intake, to ensure the proper documentation is completed (Proof of homelessness, documentation of disability) and quarterly to review client centered treatment plans.

Conduct regular chart reviews and audits with the program manager.

Perform intake and assessment as necessary for new referrals.

Review Case Managers weekly case notes and maintain documentation standazrds.

Work with Program managers around performance goals.

Work with shelter and Program Managers to maintain and triage wait list.

Work with billing department to ensure authorizations are up to date.

Attend level of care meetings with managerd care entities and ACOs.

Work with Program Managers and billing department staff to submit and maintain weekly billing reports.

Interface with intake coordinator to provide into re:
waitlist, eligibility, availability for programs.

Work with CSPECH program manager to increase enrollment.

Maintain linkage to SMOCs single adult continuum referral sources.

Engage all clients by understanding and addressing their needs whether within or outside the scope of work.

Attend & participate in team meetings as requested and communicte effectively with clients sand staff in other areas.

Maintain confidentiality of client, employee and agency information in accordance with federal and state laws and funder requirements.

Ensure compliance with program/department, agency and/or funder requirements, as well as, SMOC policies & procedures.

Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Masters or advanced graduate degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or related discipline required.

Must be licensed in Massachusetts to provide mental health services.

Prior experience in mental health with a minimum of 2 years community services.

Minimum 2 years supervisory experience, preferably of clinicians.

Flexibility in hours and work locations.

Valid drivers license, reliable vehicle and evidence of insurability required.

Ability to ascend and descend stairs
Ability to make a comprehensive assessment of clients needs.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP
Directly reports to Sr.
Division Director, Continuum of Care and Services.

Direct reports of this position are CSPECH Program Manager and CSP Case Managers.

Indirect reports of this position are N/A.
WORKING CONDITIONSThis position will travel to various locations within Massachusetts and needs to be available off hours.
As part of the responsibilities of this position, the Director, Community Support Services will have direct or incidental contact with clients served by SMOC in various programs funded or administered through the Executive Office of Health and Human Services.
A successful background check is required.
