Director of Payroll

Position Overview:
Spencer Thomas Group (STG) is currently looking for a full time Payroll Manager to support a client that recently went through a payroll transition and needs an individual to steady their payroll department.
The Payroll Manager will oversee all aspects of payroll processing and will serve as a trusted partner at all levels of the organization.
If you have superior leadership and extensive experience in ADP Comprehensive Services/Workforce Now, this may be the role for you.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for creating, reviewing, and distributing various payroll reports to support financial projections, audits, HR reviews or compliance issues.
Manage workflow to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, bonus, commission, benefits, garnishments, taxes, other deductions for new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates including exempt and non-exempt employees Ensure all aspects of the payroll cycle, including tax, benefits, wage attachments, etc.
are processed, reconciled, audited, approved, and transmitted accurately and in a timely manner for biweekly nonexempt and exempt populations in a multi-company, multi-state, multi-country environment for 800
employees Understand proper tax treatment and processing requirements for wages, bonuses, stock compensation and employer paid benefits Process accurate and timely year-end reporting (W-2, W-2c, etc.
) including partnering with HR for ACA reporting Facilitate various payroll and annual 401k compliance audits Support the processing of restricted stock units (RSU) compensation and associated withholding Management and Teamwork Work with Human Resources to manage employee onboarding and offboarding and process company provided benefits and leaves Work closely with Director of Total Rewards and Benefits Specialist on payroll related matters In collaboration with HR and Finance review support transactions related to monthly and annual equity grants Compliance Maintain effective internal SOX controls and proactively work to identify and implement efficiency improvements Ensure compliance with federal, state and local payroll, wage and hour laws and best practices Ensure tax compliance of federal and state tax withholding as well as social security and Medicare withholding for U.

employees Required Qualification(s):

years of calculating & processing payroll Subject Matter Expert with ADP Workforce Now (required) Certified Payroll Professionals (CPP) other recognized payroll certification highly preferred Comprehensive understanding of employment/labor laws such as FLSA, FMLA, etc.
Experience with multi-company and multi-state payrolls with both exempt and non-exempt population High functioning, working knowledge of relevant payroll related standard and requirements Demonstrated success managing complex and competing organizational priorities in a fast-paced environment Ability to think globally, strategically, and objectively while building scale Analytical and process orientation skills Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Ability to build trust within client groups and maintain confidentiality with sensitive data Experience with commission/bonus plans Self-starter, team player who is highly motivated and creative Excellent processing skills and attention to detail Duration:
