The SAP Operations Business Analyst will be responsible for gathering requirements, designing solutions, performing necessary configuration, managing small / medium projects related to manufacturing business process areas in SAP ECC 6.0 implementation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Research (10%)
o Research new technologies and remain abreast of industry standards and best practices in production planning and demand management functional areas of SAP, analyze potential impact on company systems and inform management of actions needed or other recommendations.
o Identify opportunities in current system design which will "Simplify, Standardize and Automate" processes across various companies.
Project Management and Change Management (20%)
o Act as Technical Project Manager for small/medium projects in manufacturing functional area.
o Responsible to prepare project plan and coordinating with all stake holders including end users, business project manager, Executive steering committee, analysts, developers and external consultants.
o Resolve issues or escalate them to steering committee.
o Create test plan and perform risk assessment
o Coordinate integration and regression testing
o Plan project go-live preparation, go-live
Development and Documentation (50%)
o Work with all the stakeholders to gather business requirements
o Design and develop solutions in the area of manufacturing business processes for multiple companies in North America Region using latest available SAP functionalities and best business practices.
o Coordinate development activities with other analysts and developers
o Perform Unit testing
o Responsible for creating following project documentation,
o Business blueprint
o Functional Specifications
o Test Scripts
Production Support (20%)
o Perform 2nd level production support for the tickets submitted by end users via remedy system. Propose and execute configuration changes and/or enhancements to the existing system to resolve production support issues.
o Update status of assigned tickets in remedy and inform business units accordingly.
Responsible for communicating with end-users, providing training support (as needed) and working within agreed upon production support service levels..
REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION &
o Ability to understand business strategy, analyze business processes and develop technical solutions to support the enterprise
o Detail real-world experience and proficiency in Production Planning (PP) module within SAP. He will also have strong SAP process knowledge and configuration skills to implement best practice solutions and deliver high quality custom enhancements. Experience with Master Data, Sales and Operations Planning, Demand Management, MRP, Kanban, Production Order Creation, Capacity Requirements Planning, and Production Execution, is highly desirable. Knowledge of SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) or APO demand planning is desirable. This individual must have an understanding of integration between manufacturing processes with other functional areas like materials management (MM), warehouse management (WM) and finance and controlling (FI-CO).
o Understanding of latest functionalities and features in SAP ECC 6.0 enhancement packages is very desirable
o Knowledge of ASAP methodology
o Skilled in the use of the following productivity tools: MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Project and Visio are required.
o Strong debugging and problem solving skills
o Excellent Communication skills (Written, Verbal, and Presentation) in English and German with ability to sell concepts and ideas to a diverse range of internal customers
o Good team player
o Proven ability to provide technical leadership in order to build quality business solutions on time and within budget
o Ability to balance the goals of the company, while maintaining adequate controls and accurate records.
