Summary:


In this role, you will be an eCommerceEngineering Manager for the Staples Global eCommerce team managing initiativesin the Post Transaction domain. As a topplayer in eCommerce in online sales, Staples is reinventing its online presenceby building the next generation platform to support web business in NorthAmerica and 26 other countries. This is an exciting time to be part of theglobal eCommerce platform team, which is forming right now and is tasked toreshape the future direction of Staples. You will be part of a fast-paced,cross-functional team responsible for delivering world class eCommerce capabilitiesthat will be utilized across multiple channels - including web, mobile, tablet,social integration, retail stores, and others. As a key leadership role, the eCommerceEngineering Manager is accountable for managing and coordinating resources andprocesses to deliver software releases for eCommerce areas such as OrderHistory/Details, Package Tracking, Easy Reorder Tools and Online Returns Centerfor the Global eCommerce organization while participating in defining thestrategy for the product development team by driving initiatives that deliveron the business vision.


Primary
Responsibilities:

  • Work together with the Product Manager to planand execute projects, ensure that teams have appropriate product and technicalspecifications, direction, and resources to deliver products effectively by establishing realisticestimates for timelines while ensuring that projects remain on target to meetdeadlines

  • Work closely with the Product Manager and other areas of IT for understanding the system's functional and non-functionalrequirements

  • Collaborate with the Product Management indefining the Product Vision

  • Demonstrate leadership abilities to our partnerswith the deployment of software upgrades, enhancements and fixes that are coordinatedbased on release schedules

  • Workin an agile environment and provide necessary leadership support to drive scrumactivities

  • Provide a software development plan that meetsthe future needs of our partners and markets, based on the state-of-the-arttechnologies

  • Evolve the existing software system applicationsand architecture in various areas as needed

  • Coordinate release and sprint planning

  • Conduct daily scrum meetings

  • Help developers resolve both technical problemsas well as human resources issues

  • Monitor individual employees' performance

  • Provide leadership and guidance to coach,motivate, and lead team members to their optimum performance levels and careerdevelopment

  • Ensuretechnical design reviews and code reviews are performed for projects

  • Embrace,innovate, recommend and apply new technologies as needed



  • Bachelors'Degree or equivalent work experience

  • 8-10 years ofrelevant, industry development experience

  • Knowledge and background within the eCommerce andCustomer Service industry

  • A record of successful delivery of softwareapplications as an individual, team leader and/or development manager

  • Experiencein J2EE technologies and/or Springframeworks

  • Strong understanding of the software developmentcycle

  • Strong leadership, project management skills,time management, and problem solving skills

  • Relevant experience with web services and REST

  • Proficientwith relational database management systems; preferably DB2 and Oracle

  • Willingness to dive into software environmentsand technical issues

  • Experience with Scrum methodology and Agilepractices

  • Extensiveknowledge of business processes concentrated around E-Commerce applications withlarge implementations of J2EE technologies

  • Self-motivated, team player, action-and-resultsoriented

  • Well organized, good communication and reportingskills

  • Ability to successfully work under tight projectdeadlines

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
