Sr Technical Program Manager - OMS

The Core Order Management (OMS) Program team is seeking a Technical Strategy / Program Manager reporting into the Program Management function.
Staples has been maintaining multiple order management systems across strategic business units which are truly ERP systems as they contain additional non-core OMS functionality like pricing, customer data, order fulfillment logic and more.
The goal of this program is to migrate the functions and data out of legacy systems and into the go-forward OMS, micro services, and data warehouse strategies.
In parallel, the team will seek opportunities to enable business to simplify and streamline relevant business processes by leveraging the service-based architecture so that we can better serve our customers.
The complexity and risks of the migration primarily come from comprehensive and complex business processes and functions that the legacy OMS's serve today, the reality that the source and target technologies are based on very different architectures, and the build out of capabilities span multiple organizations and teams requiring significant coordination.
This is a multi-year program, requiring an incremental migration approach of existing customers, with the initial goal as migrating customers with basic functionality and at the same time decoupling and wrapping non-core services on the legacy OMS and exposing them as enterprise-wide services.
With more and more functionality developed and made available, more sophisticated customers can be migrated, and eventually enabling us to retire legacy systems Key
